Phosmax Basic has the form of fine grit, resembling miniature ceramic spheres.
Owing to its unique composition, it catches, binds and absorbs onerous phosphates from the water.
It should be placed in the filter, preferably right behind the layer of mechanical elements (sponges or cotton wool) so that the water it contacts is already cleaned of visible suspensions.
The element effectively absorbs excess phosphates from the water. It is at once perfectly safe for both aquarium fish and invertebrates as well as plants. It acts selectively, not capturing useful compounds from water, such as micro-elements and vitamins.
Further, it operates as a biological element, because perfect conditions for the development of nitrification bacteria are quickly established among its small, spherical particles. With time – as a phosphate absorber – it is subject to gradual exhaustion.
In order to maintain its continuous operation, it is recommended to replace it not less frequently than once in 4 weeks. The contents of one bag is sufficient for an aquarium of 200 l capacity.
