Description
Silver Tip Tetra are gorgeous tetras with their distinctive white-tipped fins, hence their name. They are an active species and would swim around the aquarium; exploring its environment. A planted aquarium set-up is ideal for these tetras to be comfortable in.
Silver Tip Tetras are generally kept in a community aquarium with other non-aggressive species like other tetra species. They are known to be ‘fin nippers’ so keeping them in a shoal helps them comfortable and contain any aggression among themselves. It is best to avoid keeping slow-moving or fish with long flowing fins such as Guppies to avoid fin-nipping.
These Tetras are easily fed and aren’t fussy eaters. They will accept flake food, small pelleted food, freeze-dried food but this should be supplemented with suitably sized live or frozen food such as brine shrimps, Daphnia, or blood worms.
